Operating System Installations
If you have just bought a new operating system for your desktop or laptop, Saphite can install and configure it for you.
What does this service include?
- Consultation on whether the computer will accept the new operating system, advice on upgrades if required, and type of installation (upgrade or clean install)
- Installation of upgrades if required*
- All user data copied off the computer prior to installation or upgrade and stored in a secure location if required. Data will be securely deleted 30 days after completion.
- Installation and configuration of the new operating system, including the installation of drivers, setting up user accounts and password, securing the Local Administrator account, a guided tour of features, and how to perform further customisations.
- Connecting to wired or wireless network or setting up an internet connection, including mobile broadband
- Connecting to any pre-existing or newly purchased peripherals such as printers and scanners, including installing software and a demo if required
- Performing Windows Updates if required
- Installing, activating and registering purchased or pre-owned software, including antivirus and security software, advising as necessary
- Transfer user and application data to new computer if required
- A full service report explaining what was performed
